Same with dimmer constant on floor switch.. don't like the momentary.. turn on slow and let her go.. very seldom touch with hand. Can't remember missing a fish because of hand on the handle.. Two many broken cables during tournaments to take anymore chances with foot.. JMO

Yes they still make them but there are more models for Saltwater.

Foot control here, I had the hand control for several years, I guess if you are a very methodical fisherman a hand control would be ok, I hit it pretty hard.

A single switch mounted front center is best and safest.
A side mounted switch can put you in the lake if the motor is turned sideways.
