just a stupid question, what exactly does linking them do, can u see all data front and rear of boat or whats the gain?????

just a stupid question, what exactly does linking them do, can u see all data front and rear of boat or whats the gain????? . Sharing waypoints. Drive around and mark a spot and then when you go to the bow your spot's on that unit as well. Once you get use to that there's no going back.

I have a Humminbird 1198c SI at the console and the bow. I want the same information at both locations. I spend a lot more time at the bow and if I am not using a vertical presentation, I just use the Side Imaging view. That gives me the depth, water column and I see what is away from under the boat (where I am fishing). I see fish as I am fishing and fish for them.
