Will.i.am,

Most of the teams told me they would rather fish Falcon. Plus, rooms are very expensive around Choke for those that don't live within driving distance.

I'm not going to fish all the Wichita events but will be fishing the Arrowhead event along with all the events on HC and PK.Arrowhead is alot like Stamford in that its a good kept secret.

Pretty much everyone in the Abilene division told us to add Stamford. If it is as good as I have been hearing, then it's definitely a good little lake! I hope that I get a chance to fish it sometime soon. Have any empty back seat? Ha.

I think you need to add a few more divisions. That way the turn out can suck even more than it does, in east Texas. I have no idea what y'all are trying to accomplish with have so many dang trails. Do you not understand that you are saturating the market and the turn out will suffer in every trail there is. I like the Bud Light tournaments, they are ran great. But, its not hard to run a tournament when you have 10 teams show up. Do away with all the different trails so the entry numbers go up. Plain and simple. Look at Bass Champs. That will tell you how to run a circuit. They don't have 5000 divisions all over the place.

Bluetick,

I walked away from the computer, but I have been thinking about your comments and would like to respond. I don't mean this sarcastically, so please believe that I am sincerely asking your opinion.

Do you think the same people that fish Pines and Sandlin want to fish Tyler and Palestine, or Fork, or Livingston and Conroe, or Rayburn? We have asked everyone that fishes in the divisions, and they tell us what lakes they want and don't want to fish in their divisions, and we base the divisions off of that. I honestly don't believe the BLT has too many tournaments. I do, however, believe there are a lot of trails out there, which does split up the teams and lower the numbers, along with some really inconsistent weather and lake levels this year, on top of a really bad economy. I wish everyone could fish everything, but that is just not possible. Our goal is to provide the best tournament and value that we can, and allow people to have a choice where they want to fish.

In regards to your comment about BassChamps- BassChamps is a great trail, and they run one of the best tournaments out there, and I wish them nothing but success. However, I believe comparing BLT to BassChamps is apples to oranges. They have 20 really large tournaments a year on 10 different lakes, with a $280 entry fee, and draw 150-250 teams per tournament. They have also been doing it for many years and have their angler base well established.

The BLT is a localized trail with division lakes being in a close proximity to one another. The BLT started in 2009 with ONE division and a $7,500 Championship, and by 2012 there were multiple divisions across Texas and Western Louisiana with FOUR Region Championships, three of which had $10,000 for first place, and one had a $45,000 Legend Boat. On top of that there is a Grand Championship that has TWO $45,000 first place boats- that's $90,000 worth of boats for first place in just one championship. The five championships have a total value of $165,000, in our FOURTH YEAR. It is my understanding that you believe the BLT does not know how to run a circuit, but I personally feel like the BLT has done a pretty decent job to be able to support numbers like that, but I 100% respect your opinion, and appreciate your ideas. The reason we are here on the forum asking is because we care about what our anglers want from us.

Again, I am just trying to understand what exactly you think we should do. Which divisions should we cut, and what do we tell the teams that have asked us for those divisions?

Thank you for your time,

Chris Davis

Never fished BLT tourneys but have many friends who do. From what they say,it is a top notch trail. Waiting on media to throw their schedule up and then we will pick the one that suits us best.

Chris, I'm curious why y'all put almost the whole Dallas division on Tawakoni and not put Ray Hubbard or Lavon?

Your payouts look good! Lots of value in the championships! And two boats for one TEAM makes the mode sense of all! There's two people in one team! Hope to fish a few in the future!

And I agree with worm man... Why no Hubbard and Lavon love? Lavon fishes great in the warm months!

I am actually looking forward to fish the Del Rio event in Jan. From those who have fished BLT enjoy it. Heck I even started drinking Budlite.

If I may. I would like to discuss saturation, 1n Nov of 2007 I walked away from bass fishing events. I elected to start a professional wrestling company. Back in the days of the good ol World Class days, wrestling companies were based on teritory's, with the laws in Texas and the demise of Professional wrestling anybody can start a wrestling company, a guy can learn two moves and all of a sudden become a trainer, Heck there was a wrestling company on every corner, we would good to Uvalde Texas and have a crowd of 800 and watch as 6 wrestling companys came behind us only to burn the town with guys who should have bought a ticket instead of being in the ring. For 5 years we battled and won, people new the difference when we came to town vs BS wrestling.

I have since moved on because I accomplished what I wanted and I have not accomplished what I wanted in fishing yet.

Now I only bring this up because there are a lot of trails out there, there are some good ones and there are some bad ones, If Trails like Bass Champs, BLT and a few others keep doing what they are doing, the best will always be there in the end, the msin thing I can say to anyone who wants to run fishing events or Trails. Never settle, always do what you say you will do. Market the hell out of your company and the most important thing of all, make sure your sponsors know who you advertise to are buying there products. To me there is so much opportunity in this industry, at one time it was just BASS, then FLW showed up,Now there are events where you can win a lot of money almost every weekend. Who Knows maybe one day the Major Players in Texas will take there top 5 teams and have a super event once a year with a super large payout. The Majors working together will only help, Sorry about the ramble.

I am blessed to have a opportunity to live a childhood dream as a professional wrestler

Not much of a Corsicana division only fishing chambers once. I thought the point of so many divisions was to keep anglers close and repeat lakes to save in cost of travel and prefishing?? At least that's what I was told when y'all first got rolling. Might look into the pick six this year if I decide to fish any.

You don't like the Corsicana division? I've had about 10 people call me and tell me they LOVE it. What would you do differently for the Corsicana division?

Chris
