I agree. Better to get your info directly from the guys like Todd who know what is going on as opposed to those who speculate or take rumors/gossip and run with it.... and post it on the Internet. Lots of arm chair fisheries biologists out there.

This lake is pretty neat little lake. I think it has the potential to produce some giant bass. There is so much backwater in this lake that bass can get into. I honestly believe even with all the pressure that only a small percentage have even seen a lure.

Todd Driscoll, very interesting and informative post.
I'm glad to hear about the trophy management phase in the hopefully near future.
That lake looks to have great potential.

Can't wait to get out there. Had a man come into where I work the other day and tell me all about it. I sure hope the rumors aren't true, but rumors are rumors. A Texas Trophy Lake would be great for the state.

Lemme see dem fish tiddies

I may be wrong but I believe Texas anglers want more true trophy bass fisheries.
This lake may be a great example.

Can you put a bass boat on it? I read the rules and didn't see any special requirements like motor size.

LMAO! Calling out hillbillies, while misspelling and using possession incorrectly is good stuff. But then you go a few steps further by using the wrong "their" in your sentence, and not capitalizing East, nor Keystone. Maybe you should have a few less of the beer that you awesome Arlington citizens drink before you type a derogatory comment on TFF.

Thanks for the response though Todd. I work for the gov't as well, and understand how untimely planning and changes can be. I appreciated hearing that maybe the regulations need adjustment, and that it would be possible in the future.

Maybe the county can offer free replicas to any of the fish over 10 that are caught, if they are released back into the lake healthy. Use a portion of the launch fee money, i've seen it other places...

Thanks for stating the facts Todd. I really like this lil' lake. Hope it doesn't't get overfished.

If work was as much fun as fishing, I'd LOVE my job!
