Swamphunter, if you stay at a resort ask the water sports guys who takes people fishing. Usually they know someone to take you.
Where are you staying? If it's in Ochos Rios I can tell you where to find my guide.
You can avoid having ulcers by adapting to the situation: If you fall in the mud puddle, check your pockets for fish. ~Unknown

I'm sure you can find someone there at the resort to point you in the right directions.
BTW I paid $300 for a little over 4 hours. He provided everything. That will give you an idea what to expect price wise.
