I know it first hand...My cummins showed 22.7 the whole way up to waco hauling a trailer with a bed full of [censored]...I did the math and it averaged to 16.3...i don't think it lied one bit, wink wink wink

I gotta say it seems to me like the ones on the dodge cummins are some of the worst offenders!

Yep, I think Dodge did that little trick so when a person was test driving the truck it looked so impressive that it'd help seal the deal. Mines always off 5-6 mpg, no matter when or how I reset it.

Have a new 11 Ram 1500 Laramie with a Hemi.
Hand check mileage at fill ups and the digital has been consistantly about 1/2 MPG off,higher of course, but I think that's pretty dang close!


I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning !!!

If its reading the avg gas mileage most new vehicle average out over the length of a tank typically 300miles..so of you start at 20mpg and tow a boat for 100miles and it gets 10mpg towing is will say 12-15 for about 300miles before it balances out

My 09 with 5.4 has reset below speedo. punch up to mpg and hold.
