I am looking for a used boat and I have seen some with Mariner motors I was wondering what some of y'all thought of those motors. While I'm asking any opinions on Force motors. I already have had negative feed back on both motors but thought I would ask here. Thanks for honest opinions......

Then there is no problem finding part for Mariners?

Mariner and merc are one and the same just
like johnson n evinrude

Late model forces are OK, very simple motors. Some of The early forces are getting hard to get some parts for

Same as a Merc. I had a Mag II on my old Ranger 372V and virtually every part on the motor had a merc stock number.
Mariners were like Johnsons back in the day. Same as it's more famous brother.

I bought a completely rebuilt '96 Mariner 200 in February, so I'd assume parts are still readily available for them.
