Horton, it's the small pond on the back (north) side of the lake.

Oh there's bass in there. ![wink wink](/forums/images/graemlins/default/wink.gif) Just use your choice of bass fishing gear. Caught them on just about everything. These are just a few pics of the Bailey lake bass... Went out yesterday and hit the creek. On my third cast I caught this guy/girl on a #6 Aberdeen hook and nightcrawler (was bream fishing). ![](http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg516/mrbelvetron/20140222_102108_zps7b0d6b7b.jpg) I thought hey this is gonna be a good day. It was my only bite for the next 3 hours at the creek and lake. ![frown frown](/forums/images/graemlins/default/frown.gif) Oh well it was still nice to get outside for a bit.

We had a pretty good thread going about this community lake so maybe we can get it going again.

I caught this bass out of the main pond at Bailey lake this past weekend on a shakey head using a zoom trick worm in motor oil color. She had not spawned yet. Just wanted you guys to know there are fish there. She weighed 3.64#. ![](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/usergals/2016/05/full-97759-112031-3.64_lbs.jpg)

Haven't been able to duplicate my success out there since. Live literally 1 minute from the pond.

Those fish have already spawned there were bass fry all over the place about a month ago when I caught mine. It was right by a school of fry on the weed edge.

Thanks! Maybe so, but the belly was huge. I should have snapped a photo of that as well. Of course, it could have been full of craws and sunfish as well.

I suggest using a shaky head with a trick work and or a craw. I would also try the neko rig. I have caught a few on that as well. Good luck!

All my fish have come on a weightless fluke. Tons of moss and crud on the bottom so lightweight is best anything else will just be lost in all the moss.

Bumping this nearly 4 year old thread. ![smile smile](/forums/images/graemlins/default/smile.gif) I moved to the area about a year ago and drive by the lake nearly every day. How's the fishing there these days? I know there is the main lake, the back pond, and the pond on the south side of Hidden Creek. Is the south pond private property or can anyone fish it? I'm open to other places in the area to fish, mainly from the shore or perhaps in a kayak.
