You should spray some electrical parts cleaner on your connections. That should solve your problem.

Have you tried turning down the sensitivity on your eletronics

I have turned sensitivity down and filters all the way up. No help other then losing some bottom clarity.

I used to have interference to my front graphs from my MotorGuide Brute that has variable speed control. I solved it by doing the following:

1. Drilled & tapped small screw hole in trolling motor's skeg.
2. Ran small jumper wire from the trolling motor skeg screw hole to the trolling motor's shaft just above the trolling motor foot & clamped wire to shaft with a hose clamp.
3. At the top of the trolling motor shaft clamped & ran another stranded wire to the trolling motor's speed control box and attached the wire to the metal box with a screw.
4. Attached a 3rd wire from the speed control metal box to the negative (minus) side of the boats 12VDC power circuit (power source for graphs) in the boat's front panel.

I've had no interference to my front graphs including the current HDS-7 since adding this grounding. YMMV.

Select a different transducer from your graphs menu. My bird gives me multiple choices. They all seem to look the same with different amounts of interference.

I quit using the US2 and it eliminated half the interference and started using the hidef transducer attached BUT have not tried all the tricks everyone has talked about. I plan on doing some of the tricks over the next couple weeks...

Be sure the choke from Humminbird is within 6-8 inches from the foot pedal. This solved my problems with artifact( I had originally installed the choke about 18 inches from the foot pedal originally).

This is what I did after a lot of searching for a fix. Nice instructions. thumb

And I know who "Jeff" is.

This follow-up is finally with good news. Humminbird sent me the choke for their equipment and I installed it. I had previously installed a choke on my 101. Did all the updates available to date. The updates stopped the depth range jumping. The combination of both chokes and a little finageling with the sensitivity and I am now interfence free. Thanks to you guys for your input. Thanks to Steve at All-Star Marine and Humminbird for the help that they all gave me.

Explain please "both chokes". Where are each of them located?
Are chokes and ferrite rings the same thing?

What Old Champ Says Works. Do exactly as he described and most all interference will go away. I did the same thing and I know of a few others that have already solved their problem this way.
