Sometimes you can see some up on shore.
Check your anchor when you pull it in.
There will be some mud in the area as they like to borough in it.

I'm a humble fisherman in the service of our Lord.
Started fishin at 5 years old and can't stop.
I've owned a boat every day from age 16.
I fish for every type of fish in every different way.

I fished using tender dog food with anis oil you get at a pharmacy on trout lines. Worked pretty good. Also bank fishing is good if you bait the hole. Poke holes in can's of dog food. Tie string to them and chunk then out .Give it 12 hours and see what happens.

Going to Canyon tomorrow for first time. Looking for cats. Headed out early, leaving before heat and play boats run us out. Taking a newbie that has never caught anything, so would love to get him on a few fish. Any recommendations on areas and bait would be beneficial as I have heard this is a hard lake to fish. Don't have a cast net, so shad are out.

Thanks
