I use it all of the time and I have never ever had a problem with it! I have found it to be crazy strong and have a very hard time breaking it. You may have just got a bad spool of line. What # line were you using? I almost always use 20# and sometime 15#. No problems here for over 7 yrs.

I never understood why they even sell FlouroClear. I use CX and love it. Read the labels, FlouroClear just says "flourocarbon coated..." Well, CX is flourocarbon coated AND a smaller diameter than FlouroClear. After you read the labels on there, I just don't see where FC fits in their product line. I personally think it is just a marketing thing (what isn't?) they came up with when flourocarbon lines were first hitting the market and they did not have one yet.

I personally think it is just a marketing thing (what isn't?) they came up with when flourocarbon lines were first hitting the market and they did not have one yet. The formulation of CX Premium and FC are different. One of these differences is that CX Premium has dye in its formulation. FC has no dye in it. FC is made for very clear water. The only time that I ever use it is when I’m fishing for trout in extremely clear water, and then I use only 6 pound test or lower. The original CX Premium had a blue/violet florescent dye in it. If one was to put the proverbial gun to my head and made me pick just one line to use for my fishing it would be CX Premium. TFP

I love CXX as much as Seguar. Anything else P-Line makes is junk.

I've broke off so many fish on p-line only use Seaguar. You and me both I tired a few different test and Different spools , by far the worst line I have ever used between me andy son we lost 5 fish over 7 lbs in a week a a half due to line breaking two were open water fish and three run in trees and as soon as line touched the tree snap. Might be just me but I'd use hay string before P line again

Crankbait1007 - Those are some nice pics. Partner, We have a very different opinion on P-Line. I HATE CXX. Nasty stuff. CX Premium is THE best thing that P-Line makes. I also do like Halo, except that the price is too high. TFP

I use 8lb fc all the time for big smallies, just won a tournament last weekend with smallies over 4. Never had one break off, like with all line have to use right rod and good reel with good drag. Anyone who has ever had a big smallie on know the fight you have, not for the weak heart on light line. Been using 8lb fc for 5 years now my son had black over 8 this year same line. Used vanish for years that line is now trash

Really, hard to believe these posts. P Line fluorclear is a copolymer line, soft and manageable, with some stretch. I use it for cbaits and, occasionally, for Pitching with a spinning rod. You've got to match the line to the application, your rod, reel, water, and your style. No breakoffs, ever. P Line 100% Fluorocarbon is the strongest, most abrasion resistant, most consistant,Fluorcarbon you can buy. Never broken it off.The negative re P line 100% is that it is stiffer and harder to handle, than most FCs,but that's the nature of strong FC. The stiffer/harder FCs are stronger, etc. That's just the way Flurocarbon go. I Pitch or rip with P line 100%. But,if you ain't got FZ1 skill, then, you have use that other weak stuff.
