Now, I want everyone to buy a hydrowave but I have found some really interesting uses for my power poles. 1) If you have to go, they make a great handle. 2) This week at Ft. Gibson it was so hot that I would jump in the water every 30 minutes to cool down. Before jumping in I would lower my poles 1/2 way and use them as a step to get back in the boat. Someone needs to invent a light for the top of them for launching your boat in the dark.
I'm betting the uses for them are endless.

In have both on my boat. I would suggest getting a P.P. or Talon. 1 pole works just fine. Every boat I buy in the future will have some kind of pole on it. Especially if you fish a lot of shallow water.

I'd get the Hydrowave first because it's cheaper. Then start saving for the power poles. Both are great accessories.

save thousands!...

brush gripper $9.99
anchor/roap $50

you can rake me over the coals for my worthless opinion - but i don't see much difference in electronically stimulating fish to bite and dropping a cord into the water and cranking the old phone...

I don't have a hydrowave so have no experience on them but I do with a power pole and wouldn't be without at least one now. So I say power pole and I would buy it from Kathy at Brannans Bass Shop. Best price around hands down.

i fished in doug's boat last week in the wind on Fork. after we fished in the waves, with powerpoles down for two hours... I wont own another boat without them! My next boat, after I complete my training program, will definately have 2 of them! And I fish in the back of the boat- they dont get in my way when casting...

Hydrowave is basically the same cost as a rod and reel... simple to say YES to that! Powerpoles is a much larger investment... so get the hydrowave first, and save for the powerpoles over the couse of a year.
