My thought was to row to shore and have a second angler or the tournament director assist with measurement for the bigger fish so we can get them back in the water quickly. I plan on keeping most of my eater sized fish for dinner at the camp grounds, I will be doing blackened fish tacos with what I catch. Anyone have room for me at their camp site?

 Okay ladies and gentleman it's time to get your fish on. Big Bass and Cat pots will be $5 but here is the twist, bass have to be 18" minimum and cats 21" or the pot goes HOW. The weigh in will be at the campsites. The APT staff is going to splash the pot a bit with $100 for the person that catches the biggest bass. This will be seperate from the regualr big bass pot and the fish must be 20" or larger. Otherwise the money goes to HOW.

I may not fish it so I can be of assistance if needed. The problem I see is how long it would take me to get to where I need to be.

So even the catfish are measured by length not weight..... hmm ....
good question bert.
Guess if you catch one, THE ONE,then paddle it in to be recorded.

I have a few questions,
Entry fee?
Is it going to be at the same campgrounds as the G2G?
Can you do both bass and catfish?
How are we judging the fish, snap a pic on a ruler like KBF or keep'em alive?
And do we have do be in the water at 6, I might be running a few min late.

Question... For the catfish tourney...chumming acceptable? Yes and I know the bass will be 1 rod in the water at a time, what about the catfish portion? Will we be able to drift multiple rods and how many are allowable?

Let me just add that I normally fish with 3 rods when it comes to catfishing.... drifting or anchored ......

You catfish guys do what ever you want. This is mainly to raise money for HOW.
Brian,
If you want to fish for both then you would have to pay entry fees for both to make it fair to the catfish and bass guys so their payouts are equal.

Gotcha, I suspect I'll do the bass tourney, just thought if you could drag a rod for mr. whiskers, while yankin them green fish why not.
