It's amazing!!! No it can't respond as fast as cable drivin motors to turn left or right but who cares when it'll hold you in the exact same spot in 20' of water and 15 MPH winds. Besides the pullies and cable sleeves in your cable drivin motor don't like that super fast response either! Pushing on that cable drivin foot pedal hard and fast causes the little bit of slop in your pedal! In turn causing the pulley to wear and eating your cable. But you can drive them on high in a straight line without the torque making you stand on the pedal, less lower back issues after 6 straight days of fishing! I love mine and have had it for 9 months without any issues!

if ur over 60 u need to take a look at it, its the bomb It's also the bomb if you're disabled, fishing with multiple children and dogs in the boat, or otherwise simply too lazy to use a real trolling motor.

I fished with Robert Amaya at Lake Falcon and he uses one. Its seem to work well for him. Especially nice in wind when you are fishing deep structure. As for my taste it is not for me.

Fished with Jay two weeks ago and was quite impressed with his T/M.Controlled it from the back of the boat and let us fish the front deck.Really nice in the wind for staying on a spot and moving around when needed.

Here's the deal with iPilot. If you are fishing in tight structure and timber, since it's on servos and not a cable, the reaction time is slower to maneuver. They have gotten better since they first came out. The trade of is fishing open water in windy conditions. What a relief it is not to have to fight the trolling motor all day. Set it on anchor and fish. It works off GPS, so you only drift about five feet, then it brings you back on spot. You can also set waypoints to tool around docks and structure. Make one pass and track it then fish. Very cool during windy conditions.
"If you've quit learn'n, you might'as well quit fish'n cuz yer not catch'n as many fish as ya should be!"

The only way to fish in any kind of wind and stay on a spot without wearing yourself out running the T/M.Nice thing is if you hook a fish and are busy with that fish the T/M keeps you on the sweet spot and you don't drift off the honey hole.
