Someone will always catch them. I never look at top weights to determine how the lake is fishing. Look at 5th down to last check.

Rayburn is fishing tough don't let a 21lb limit fool you. Like Jaret said you need look at rest of the weights. Get 3 2 pounders then 2 7s and you have a 21 pound limit after ounces are figured in. I think it's the pressure of all the tournaments and regular fishing is finally taking its toll on an old lake. She has been rode hard as they say. Plus all lakes go through up an down cycles

the amount of tourneys at rayburn is ridiculous, has to be hurting the fish population, or at the very least making them skittish as hell.

She will be back in a couple years. Huge amount of small fish with more shoreline cover than they have had in years right now

Yeah, there are disadvantages to bass fishing becoming one of the cool things to do over the last several years. We rednecks used to have the lake pretty much to ourselves.

Exactly my thoughts but from what I understand TPW and all their surveys they supposedly do say the lake can handle the tournys and replenishes itself if it didnt they would slow the tournys down or even stop them to get it back right atleast thats what Ive been told before. The lake does get beat to hell and back all year long never stops.

TPWD also says lakes don't need hydrilla to produce monster sacks of bass. That' says enough right there in my opinion.

Rayburn always fishes tough this time of the year. If people aren't "hammering" trap fish in the Grass then they complain that the fishing is tough! rolfmao

I agree on that cause all in all this year has been one of my better years than the last few course I have gotten to fish a little bit more this year but I have no complaints on her other than they could ease off some of the tournys for a few years.
