so me and dustin took off in the car to run over to the marina to catch bait and we asked joe to watch our only rod in the water. gone about 20 minutes, come back and we both had grins on our faces when we saw joe with a bowed over rod... now the only gear joe has ever used is a small rod with a spincast - there he is battling this fish on a surf rod and monster reel - dustin ran down, tightened up the drag and let him have at it. i'll tell ya - there was a good audience - everyone fishing that bank ran over to watch - he got it close enough for dustin to snatch it up in the net. low and behold, joe could not believe what he caught...his eyes were big as saucers and his mouth was almost on the ground. everyone had grins from ear to ear - i think even the babies were hi-fiving in my belly. pics were taken and back into the water the beast went. these are the things we love to see
