Last Nov. Millman & I caught this 7-fish bag that went 15.7# on my hand-held. That was quite a day! They were in my weigh-in bag & it's pretty light so I'm sure the fish were over 15#

I always get a kick out of how many people say they catch 2 lbers all the time. Most people don't realize how big a 2 lb crappie really is. I check people all the time that say they have a 3 lber and I look in the livewell and it's a pound and a half to pound and three quarters. Had one guy swear he had a 3 lber one day and I told him it might go 2. I had some digital scales with me and weighed it for him and it was 1.98.  I've also heard the many stories of guys claiming they catch 19-20 inch crappie all the time  I've caught a 2-pounder with Heath. He won't even break out the net for one, much less the camera.

In 2006 I caught 3 fish all were 2 lb 6 oz and 2 were caught in the same day. All fish were caught in the spring off of the Little Elm bridge. Yes I have picutres to prove it so this ain't no fish story.

Caught this right at 2lbs this year at the vine this spring. Caught 2 more just like it and my friend caught another that was right at 2, but nothing bigger than that. Haven't caught [censored] this summer lol.

I had two weeks in mid March that is not even worth talking about, because I'll be shot on sight and accused of blasphemy. It was unbelievable, and had I not been there, I wouldn't believe it myself. If you were fishing in that creek,,, I seen it!

I haven't weighed them so I'm not sure...I bought a digital de-liar for "ketchin's" sake but I've been out three times with it and still haven't opened the childproof package. I keep measuring them (16" or so) eating some and giving the rest to my friends.
Just started fishing for crappie in earnest this Feb. , if I had to guess it would be 4. But the year ain't over yet!

I catch a LOT of fish guiding and personal time fishing and I have not caught a 2 pounder in probably 2 years... Get that de liar out boys!!!

Only been out one time in last few months, but did get a 2 1/2 that night before I cut my self and had to come back in due to being on blood thinners and couldn't get it to stop since I didn't have any kind of bandage. My stupid luck. Usually catch a few each spring though. Here is a picture of the one from last night out. Usually catch quite a few 14" to 16" and a 17" is special, but have caught a good many of them, but usually not more than a couple per year that hit 17" or over. The last few years here have been not normal since the drought and such low water, but before 2009 I had at least one 17" or longer each year. They usually are about 3 pounds or maybe a tad more. Actually was June 16th.
