Hey Aggie,
I've sent a message to the folks at Bluewater, but no reply yet: did you buy the red and green front nav lights from them? Had a few beers, got online, and was about to do some serious LED shopping on their website...but I cannot find those red/green ones in the online catalog? Or did you just order an individual red one and green one?

Thanks!

....remember ya'll that the red led's will effect your night vision less than using another color. Why we had only red lights in our Helo's and on the flight deck when I was deployed.

Exactly right, Galveston! I've got red cockpit lighting in my Cessna 140, and they work great!

Gary,
The nav lights did not come as a set. I got an individual red and green light. I also customer cut a rub rail cap to go over each end of the light. Makes it less likely get messed up if you rub the light against something.

If you hit up the tacklesmith here he has the red and green in a kit. On those you have mounted on your boat are you having problems with them blinding you while fishing?

for those of ya wanting to do lights get with tacklesmith, you will not be disappointed. I have his box lights (used for a different purpose), and the deck lights, his bow lights rock as well.

my 82 champion with tacklesmiths lights, and they are super easy to install depending on how hard it is to wire your particular boat. first are his box lights, I can see over 50' when night fishing and they meet requirements for anchor lights.

red deck lights, camera made them look orange. they work excellent at night since red won't kill your night vision.

both on

rub rail protects mine, back 4 are under it and the front 2 are above it. wish I had put the front under too, too bright but got it down with some black silicone.

Just wondering if anyone makes a protective clear sleeve, maybe with ends on it, that will protect the LED strips? Someone's gotta make something like that...??????????????????
