Can Produce some pretty good fish! Co worker Steve D and me hit a local pond one day this week, and with some plastic worms, hit on some pretty good LMB's and some hefty green sunfish! I used a 7 inch pumpkinseed Berkley Power Worm, and Steve used a 6 inch Watermelon Zoom, and well, we had a pretty good, albeit, scorching hot, day!

Steve with a decent bass:

Anotherchunk:

Yet Another:

Their bellies were full of crawdads!

Some hefty, tasty, greenies!

Kept these for a meal, filleted them and gave em to my mom!

This pond is stacked with greenies, longears, and bass. Saw hundreds of bass fry milling about, and tons of yearling buck bass cruising. Plenty of biguns in there too!

The heat is only an inconvenience for the fishermen, not the fish! They still gotta eat!

Go getcha some!

Rudy

Awesome! I don't mind the heat either, but haven't had good luck. That may change if I can find this fishing hole.

Getting re-acquainted with fishing.

how dare you go out in this heat and try to fish! and if that wasn't enough, you have the audacity to catch a few and gloat! grin

Congrats on being a braver fisherman than I am.

Thanks for reminding me about that spot. I had fished there in the past but had forgotten all about it till I saw those pics. I went out there for a bit this morning. Caught one chunk and a bunch of dinks on a watermelon baby brush hog. Even saw (and heard) two accidents. Traffic on that street is crazy. Bite was a little slow, but patience paid off. Think I may head back out there again on Wed morning.

Driven by there many times and have even fished some of the surrounding ponds. Stopped by there today on my way home and had two in 30 minutes on Texas rigged worm. Second one was about 2-lb and about 10-lb of weeds. Snapped my line pulling it to the bank. Gonna try again in the morning.

Went there this morning and caught three dinks on drop shot rig. Met a guy named John there. He caught at least one decent one. Very slow this morning but the weather was fantastic.
