Jayin Grapevine,
Since you proclaim to be the "enforcer of man law" please develop a petion to stop ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.

Please post your evidence of this conspiracy.

The stocking history for all lakes in Texas in current thru 2005. Squaw Creek does not show any activity since the nineties on any of their stocking sites. I sampled / compared various lakes on the total stocking pages vs. the lakes individual stocking page - guess what the figures added up. It would have taken some time / effort to adjust the figures from each lake to compensate for the removal of Squaw Creek's fish from the accounting tables

TP&W does not keep track of private stockings which are paid for by the owner. If you or other "enforcers of man law" saw fish being stocked then TXU might have paid for the fish.

Please get over the fact that Squaw Creek is a PRIVATE lake now.
What difference does it make where fishing shows are filmed most are done on private stock ponds.

sns171 must work for TXU :p

Even if they aren't currently stocking it, what about all the fish in there that we all paid for? Have they all been removed, I don't think so. Those fish and all of their offspring belong to us, OPEN OPEN OPEN OPEN!! banana

I think you would have better luck if you did not try to dictate where the fish needed to be restocked.

I'm concerned.

Terrorists could have plastic surgery to change their appearance; have artificial voice boxes implanted; steal the identity of one of the guys filming a fishing show on Squaw Creek; have their boat wrapped so it would look just like the host's boat...and DETONATE A NUKE ON THE LAKE...RIGHT NEAR THE POWER PLANT!!!

Can you say, "CHERNOBYL"?
eek eek eek

wink

sns171,
I'm not trying to get into conspiracy theories or a pissing match, but here is the thread that mentions "TXU Contract Lakes #1" multiple times. Multiple people mentioned seeing it on the stocking page (also linked on that page). Now it's gone and you can't find it unless you do some REALLY intense digging. Which I did, here and all of the stocking records have been removed. So, for this to all be bull, it would have to be coincidence that a lot of people on here all thought they saw stockings for a lake that was never listed, but it just so happens that there's a random, empty page on TPWD's site for a lake of the same name that for some reason has no stockings listed at all. Any further proof... I'm sorry. I didn't think they'd change all of the information so I didn't take any screenshots. I think there are enough people here that remember seeing the listing to validate the assertion.
Bottom line, it has been stocked very recently, we paid for it, we can't use it. That's wrong.

Here we go again. I don't know why I'm getting involved, but I suppose it's to save you guys from some aggravation and disappointment.

SQUAW CREEK IS A PRIVATE LAKE. There is no way to force TXU to reopen it any more than the TPWD could force me to open my private pond to the public.

The issue with the fish stocking, IMO, is moot. The most that could ever happen would be some judge would require TXU to pay for the fish. It would not be a lot of money anyway, and we would all contribute the next time we turned a light on. So in effect we would pay for the fish twice. In any case, using prior fish stockings as a lever will not succeed in forcing TXU to let us fish there again.

I am all for TXU opening up Squaw Creek again. I never got to fish it so I feel like I missed something. I goto church with a couple that works out there. The issue with the lake is security after 9/11. He told me that TXU can't constitute the cost for security upgrades to open the lake back up to boat traffic due to the fact it is a nuclear facility. Petition away and present it. However, it probably won't do any good. Best of luck on this.

Good luck! I will sign but what is going to happen to the politicians and game wardens that fish there on a regular basis? This will sure disrupt their playhouse.
