All lakes typically have a wide range of sociotypes. Lake Conroe has its meth area over in Montgomery. I've had stuff stolen out of my boat twice but the next time they are in for a nice surprise.

hopefully its not the nieghbors doing it... if you know your neighbors talk to em. We have a suspect in mind, it was a teenage kid that lives down the road about 2 miles. Last year on my land where we deer hunt, we had feeders stolen and they took the SD card out of the Game Camera thinking they wouldn't be caught. Well, the camera we had had a back-up memory and there was his face plain as day. We got the Game Wardens involved and they were caught. This person according to the GW has a record (imagine that). We'll see what the outcome is... I too believe that the Wood County Sheriff could have got prints, but since it's so common for thefts around Fork, they don't think much about it. This is just my opinion, but the only time I hear about someone being caught is when the home owner catches them in the act. I'm at Fork several weekends a year and have never once seen a Sheriff patrol. I see Troopers and Game Wardens more than anything. Makes me wander how they justify the property tax increase that I've experienced the last 5 years. What is that money doing to help us out???

I hate it for you guys. Man this is happening to much around here.I know that I have never seen anyone patrol the lake fork area. I mention this to the county sheriff's office in Emory one time about why dont they patrol area boat ramps around the lake, their answer was it was out of the city limits ! HUH ? I thought that was what county sheriff's are suppose to do patrol the areas with in the county. I guess the thieves know this. Mark, there isn't much of Lake Fork in Rains county. Rainswood and Axtons are out of business. Lake View, Vals, one public ramp? I'm sure Tawakoni keeps them busy enough. Wood County is is another story. They have been doing a lot the last 2 years. I see them come through the marina during all major tournaments and drive through weekends and randomly on weekdays. Only thefts I have heard about this year have been boat storage units and weekend houses. Put the right kind of locks on and you won't have to worry about a pair of bolt cutters clipping a lock off. I hope they catch the worthless bastards that broke into your uncles house. Shitty. Wow Rainswood and Axton's gone? Those used to be my favorite places to launch from....How long have they been out of business?

I didn't know Axton's was closed... I never launched there.

When they clean house like that and sit around and help themselves to a drink it means they sure as heck know when you are there and when you are not. This thieve is a regular in the area. What a scum bag.

Something else to keep in mind. Denton County has 4 Deputies on duty working nights. 1 Deputy per district. Usually a rover and a supervisor. Thats for 900 square miles. ( I think thats how big Denton County is anyways). But I get thats its frustrating....
Axtons closed down? Since June? We were just there for the Skeeter tourney.

Not that they would even take the time or spend the resources but if they took the time to sit down and have drinks, you could pull DNA off the cans/bottles rather than getting finger prints.

Yep its usually always somebody that knows you that does these sort of things.....anyhting on the game cameras that they didn't seal? I think we can rule this out. Again, they only stole the guns that had slings on them, if they knew there were guns there, I think they would have brought a vehicle and been better prepared. They left 12 guns there and the 4 that they took were the cheaper ones... dumb a$$es!! There is a deer lease adjacent to his property that several people are on. Could have been someone from there...???

Do you know if they had numbers from the guns put away any where? I've known a lot of people over the years that this has happened to and it seemed like they always got their guns back and usually busted the thieves because they would try to pawn them. It just recently happened with a friend of mine's bro inlaw in Texarkana. He lived on the Texas side and got broken into, a week later a 16 year old kid tried to pawn one of the guns on the Arkansas side and got busted right there in the pawn shop. It turned out to be a theft ring and he sang like bird when they started leaning on him. Another friend did this and his guns didn't show up until 10 years later. 4 wheelers are a whole different animal. I live in Delta County and they come up missing around here pretty regular never to be seen again. I guess they are stealing them a refurbing what damage they do; if any, and sell them over the internet. Just recently had a neighbor loose an almost brand new side x side.....makes me wonder if it is the same folks that steal farm tractors....we have that too.....
