LakeMaster is a non-HD Lake for Version 2 on this 1,799 Acre Lake. But LakeMaster Exclusive features can still be used to help locate structure and off set the water depth.

LakeMaster is HD Lake for Version 2 on this 22,211 Acre Lake. So we can compare Apples to Apples as was recommended by the parties that wanted to start a comparison thread of the different map products but LakeMaster was not selected as the comparison product in the Product Marketing Images. Look at the Details from LakeMaster as we zoom in that they offer on HD Lakes and what the Exclusive features offer to make Structure Finding and Customizing your Maps. Even more zoomed in on this interesting point Here's the other area they used in Marketing Document Another View Level of the Same Area

Want to compare some more images? This could really be beneficial to others to help see which mapping supplier or suppliers is/are best for them. Here are some from Ray Roberts N 33 26.190', W 097 02.137' at 500' Zoom Range N 33 23.449', W 097 04.789' at 500' Zoom Range Get me coordinates and we can take turns on different lakes and areas so everyone can see the comparisons. Nobody has Comparison images for these areas? Also would be easier for Comparisons to show the Full Screen Shots from a Unit so people can look at the details in the contours to see what they need for Mapping. We can alternate between lakes if you want. Get me images at these areas then select another comparable lake of your choice that all map suppliers have coverage and we will comapre mapping details. This thread is only designed to help the consumer get the best value out of his mapping investment. It wcould be they need more than one mapping supplier.

Doug, I'm convinced. Will be ordering a LakeMaster chip today! Thanks for all the effort you put in to do this. Guess the competitors know they didn't stand a chance in comparison testing! U 'da man!

Sorry all. Been very, very busy these last few weeks.
I'll try and hop on a Lowrance today and pull some shots. Might be easier to start a thread for each body of water - it tends to get a bit confusing as we branch into different lakes/topics all within one thread.
Stand by!!

I own both the Navionics South Premium chip and the LakeMaster for TX/OK. If my Bird support the Navionics Platnum, I might feel different but I prefer the Lakemaster TX/OK in my 798 Bird.
Like I said in an other thread if you want a plug and play chip where every thing is done for you buy the Navionics. If you want a chip that gives you the options to fish your way and the tools to look for changing fishing conditions on the lake, get the Lakemaster. If you have a Humminbird, get the Lakemaster.

Stand by!! I think one thread as a single resource is best since everyone can compare many lakes without having to search thru numerous threads to compare the different mapping products for them. I can repost the above LakeMaster Images when you get your images...remember we are trying to get apple-to-apples comparisons same GPS Locataion and Zoom Range. ONce you get those images select another Lake that is HD in both brands and I'll get some images from LakeMaster. Need to get all products we can LakeMaster, Navionics and Insight. That way everyone can choose the best product for them.

I had to purchase Navionics chart for the BASS Open last week and as soon as I get their latest update information I will get comparison images of the lakes. So users can decide which chart or charts are best for them.

clearly lakemaster is a good product but does us no good if we have lowrance and i am not switching to a humminbird. why can't lakemaster product be supported on lowrance? this would be better for consumers.

Don't think you'll see LakeMaster as a cross brand product. Just like you won't see Lowrance offer Insight Mapping for other brands. LakeMaster is a feature of Humminbird products as it offers super high detailed mapping as a choice with your Humminbird. I know several people that have switched to Humminbird because of having the LakeMaster Option and can still use their Navionics Maps too. Couple this with Humminbird standard equipment 4X Per Second Refresh Rate and 50 Channel GPS Receiver you get more standard features and industry leading features if the best mapping is a feature you need. Just like sonar systems you purchase the best product for you to help you be successful.
