Seriously, all good sugestions. If its not topped out a noisy buzz bait barely chirped over the surface will call'em out nearly all day this time of year. But my number one weapon for grass is the weightless worm.

frog in the morning followed by ripping a fluke through the grass and on outside edge. weightless ring fry or senko for pockets. then to get in the thick i use miller punchin weights but heavy tungsten will work i would try beaver style baits first then maybe a tube.
