That is what I was wondering also, if something got on them.

I use mine to pin my DIY shallow water anchors as well and the constant rubbing has caused the plastic to fall off a couple of them. The plastic doesn't impact the function. If it doesn't bother you just strip it off and move on.

Whys that ? If guys would post the Truth about alot of these products that are being sold these days instead of only hearing from people sponsored by said products then new guys could make their own choices based on honest reviews.Thats my opinion .

Not sure but I think he was talking about where he said some if his were getting sticky too-He can correct me if I'm wrong-
But I totally agree with what you said.

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

DJ, when traveling home have your went through any road construction? Sometimes they spray that road with a sealant. Plus, there is this one guy who sprays some of those farm fields, his rig leaks. Before I leave the lake, I take mine off and store them. To me, those things are priceless.

Just got a email back saying they have sold 10300 rod holders last year and have not had this problem, take the yellow things off send em in and if there is a quality issue then they can be replaced if not $7 each ( $112 total on top of the $352+shipping I have already spent). Im kind of disappointed in the responses, and with the amount of money I have spent i kind of expected more. Gonna have to do the fix my self with some of the ideas from here.

If you will call Rick, the owner of BeeReady, at this number 918-724-3920, I think you will get an immediate answer.

i can understand their position, it doesnt seem like it is a problem on their end, but rather an isolated incident involving your rod holders. still frustrating nonetheless. i would just redip in whatever color you want.

Yea, I understand their view but it's still frustrating when you have already spent a lot of money.

Dont see how he is trying to tarnish his rep. As i read it, says if its a quality issue he will take care of it but wants to see it. Never known rick or ed to not make it right. Beereadys have been around the block and make a quality product. Theres a reason a lot of the DIY and knock off holders resemble beereadys. Im sure rick and ed get calls everyday wanting something for free when customer is at fault. And no im not saying the poster is at fault just ed wants to see it before he makes a final decision.

It does sound like a chemical reaction. It happens. Dont believe me then put standard lok-tite on your humminbird si transducer bolts that hold the ducer to mounting bracket. The bracket will be ate up and crumble in your fingers and your ducer will be hanging by the wire within 48 hours. Hb doesnt care either and it cost $20 to replace the bracket. I found out the hard way on that.

When I can get a can of plastic dip for $7, and I'll be able to fix all of them it's not even worth it to pay to ship them back.
