I am headed out to Hubbard on Sat and have never truly found that area.

I just got back... It was Waffle House... LOL... Not aiming for bragging rights but I have to stake a claim for the name and the spot. The name really caught on last year. That's been my top go to spot from March to June for way too many years. It's slows down considerably now. It is really most productive in the Spring and early summer. Try to find the 20-foot plateau and fish around it. It's not unlike the Peanut but isn't shaped like a Planters peanut- it's more like one peanut. If that makes sense... Happy Fishing.

It is out in the area where three boats go around in a tight circle like a merry go round. That was my first introduction to the area by Frank himself. If I remember we were part of the 3 boats. Frank is selfless when it comes to showing a fellow fisherman around.

Never been to the dam, but I heard the game wardens offer free guided trips on that hump! Absolutely correct...they will pull right up to your boat and share all kinds of info with you. Even if they arent on the lake the guy in the little jeep up on the dam itself is known to be something of fanboy with his little camera and all the papparazzi photo's he takes. He'll even send you some copies of the pictures he takes of you in the mail!!

There is one tree down there and VIP, RAP etc. can attest to it. I know that tree has a lot of my slabs from over the years!
