It is with deep personal regret to announce we have lost our dear friend and valued Crappie Anglers of Texas (CAT) member, Leonard Mack Clark (Big Mack). Big Mack died Saturday, July 21, 2012 after a long struggle following detection of a cancerous brain tumor. He was in a lot of pain Friday, but after they got it under control, he passed gently into the night Saturday.
Big Mack was known for his big heart, strong allegiance to CAT, well respected, and one of our most lovable characters in the club. Along with his fishing partner, Paul Hicks, they were becoming a tournament team to be reckoned with. However, shortly after winning the Lake Livingston tournament last year, his health started to decline.
Each of us not only grieves at the passing of a tremendous individual but also for the loss Ruth (wife) and Lauren (daughter) suffers. Ruth has expressed a desire to have his fishing gear collected and valued in some manner with contributions distributed in a manner later to be determined. Mr. Hicks will coordinate this effort for the family.
Having visited Ruth and Lauren before Big Macks passing, and reiterated today in our call, CAT was a huge part of their lives. They will greatly appreciate CAT members reaching out to show final respects at this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements are being provided by the Flower Mound Family Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 26, at 10:00 a.m., 2012. A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 25, 7-9pm, 2012.

My thoughts go out to his family.
I met Mack several times at parties my girlfriend's mom threw. He was quite a character.
He will be missed

I really enjoyed talking to him when I met him at the LOP tourney two years ago. We all hung out in and around Kubiak's boat and shot the breeze. Sorry to hear!

I only talked with Mack a few times but that is all I needed to see what a great man he was. He always had a smile on his face and loved to talk fishing.I know the fish in Grapevine will miss him as will I. CAT lost a great member and a great man Saturday night. My prayers go out to him and his family during this tough time. Mack you will be missed. RIP buddy.

Big Mack. I am truly saddened by this. He was my friend. We shared emails and jokes and waypoints. We were supposed to go find a brushpile in Grapevine he lost with side imaging in my boat. We never got to do that. I am sure he sees where it is now. Here's too ya my friend!  My prayers go out to his wife and daughter and family. Gonna miss you Big Mack.

I didn't know him, but we share a commonality of fishing. He will be missed but lives on in the memories of friends and family.

Sorry to hear the news...Big Mack was one of the good one's...
Never meet him personally,but shared some pm's over the years..He will be missed.

I'm saddened to learn this. Mack was one great ambassador for crappie fishermen everywhere. He will be missed.

Was fortunate to spend time with Mack at several tournaments and CAT meetings. Always had a good story and a positive outlook. Mack enjoyed life, good friends and family. RIP my friend.
