I work with Luis at Resource all the time. They are great people!!! Never had a issue. When I lost my job they worked my payments to make sure I had food before I paid my truck. All around good people. Get-bit have you been to Mi Dia? I called asked for Luis and was instead sent to Sherry. Sherry didn't act like they wanted to do business with me and never even pulled my credit or asked for my phone number. I guess she could tell by talking to me I couldn't buy. I told her I belonged to a different credit union and wanted to shop rates on my next boat. I'll just stick with my credit union.

Sometimes lenders run hot and cold. At least you have a good option to use. If we can help with anything, let us know. Ken

LMAO !!!! Experts only giving advice on this forum? Hmmmm. How many experts do we have here? And there seems to be some harsh comments for posters. Many people are taken advantage of but that being said, never sign a note without understanding the terms. I am a bank president with 25 years lending experience and 3 degrees, including a graduate degree in banking. The gentleman who called and made a request for info and was stonewalled, could easily file a complaint. I would fire a consumer loan officer that treated a customer that way if I found out about it. Fair lending laws are serious business and I will talk loans and take an application from anyone, period. People who ignore or discourage any kind of credit applications give bankers a bad name. I shoot straight. I will tell you quickly if you make application to borrow $1,000 or Three Million if you qualify. Its about credit history, debt to income ratio, value and type of collateral and down payment if were talking purchases. Also, some lenders use a matrix approval system. This is good for some bad for others that don't fit into their box. Shop around Ladies and Gentlemen. There is a big difference in integrity and service in our industry.

have been with them forever. since they were Sears credit union!!
never a problem, always good rates, easy to deal with.
they took care of everything over the phone when I bought a boat out of state in 2001.
all paper work between them and the seller and a check wired to them.all I did was drive to Mt.Home Arkansas and pick it up!
I love the smell of 2 stroke in the morning !!!

In my opinion banks are something you hate and cant live with out. Some took bail out money and scamed the taxpayers out of millions, then sued the goverment because the bail outs are to tough on the rules. That being said I was told I couldnt refinace my house this week to a lower intrest rate from a 6.5 to a 4.25 because my credit was "to good" and that it was stagnet because I havent bought nothing since 2011. There nothing wrong with your score or the wifes. But yours has droped 50 points because you have not bought nothing in 2 years and you payed off all the loans to early according to your report and in todays times banks are looking for full note payments so they can make the full intrest. I have seen it all now were being punished for staying out of debt, and paying loans off early all your lfe.

lamoon78, I think you were a little rough calling me "stupid", especially on an open forum..... people do make mistakes from time to time. That being said, I AGREE wholeheartedly with what you are basically saying. Short loans to NO loans, is the best way to go: my wife and I are paying off our debt and our intention is to stay debt free, if at all possible. What is "stupid", besides calling someone stupid on a forum (which I'm about to do with lamoon78 ;)) is to not take advantage of the closest thing to "free money" you'll see your lifetime. 4.5% interest (simple interest) would make me want to finance a $70k boat for 50 years. Max out on the years to get the smallest payment and then make an additional principal payment monthly. Finance 101....not so stupid.

I called my friend Lee at Resouce One credit union when i needed a loan quickly. He got me 4.5% in 2010 and i paid off my 2005 Skeeter 190 SX in 3 years. It was a 4 year loan but i just wanted it paid off. Great rate and great person.
Side note --- I worked in Auto finance at Wells Fargo for 18 years. Get a copy of your credit report free every year and take care of your credit.

Coach JC thanks for the heads up. I used to bank there when it was the Sears Credit Union. I got financing for my new 2013 Nitro Z7 without hassle. She also looked at a loan for my Wife's Armada that we purchased a few weeks ago and beat that interest rate and saved me money on it.

I financed my boat and asked about auto loans and they beat what I had by a mile. Wound up saving almost a 100 a month on my truck payment! So far they have been easy to deal with and have great rates.

I talked with Tammy at the Cedar Hill branch and she told me they required 15 - 30% down on all boat loans. This was over the phone this morning and yes I have a checking and savings account there.
