I was just wondering because I was thinking about how you gotta be down wind from a deer before you shoot it. how do I get down wind from a catfish? I'm thinking about sneaking up on a 80 pounder tonight at 2 am

Now, if you use bug spray and stuff make sure you wash your hand and keep them clean, but the stinky smell of any puch bait or slimy shad will surely out weigh our scent. I thank God for each day!

Ketchn TFF Guru K Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 14,308 Texas of course	interesting thought......and if you want to catch that stupid big 80 lb. cat EVERYTHING counts ,,,,, them fish been around a very long time ,,,,,ALL scent plays into it with them ..... thats why you may have noticed me posting ONLY use bait from the water you fish ....really big old catfish know the difference....that is a fact ..... as far as smaller fish goes .....under say 5 to 10 years old they have no clue ...... them 30 and 40 and 50 year olds are just like us ...... way smarter and more cautious than when they were younger
