Key West. I fished one for 10 years in Port A., gulf and bay. Great boat and very dry. I sold it within a week of listing it last summer. It still looked very nice and I will have another after son 2 finishes college.

IMHO, the absolute very best 24 Center Console out there is the one that has excellent customer service after the boat has been purchase. Regardless of what you buy or how expensive it is, if the dealer does not take care of the problems you have with the boat and the manufacturer / builder does not stand behind the dealer, it probably is not the best one....unless it is the brand that NEVER HAS A PROBLEM after it has been purchased.
Just as an example, I did have a Ranger Boat, bought it new in August of 2003. Very expensive, but an amazing and outstanding boat. Fit and finish and quality, second to no other brand. I will never buy another Ranger Boat
Make sure you buy from a good dealer and the boat manufacturer stands behind their boats. That will get you the best 24 foot center console.

I agree with the above statement... Also at least for me.. yes some boats are nicer/more $$ or whatever than others but generally speaking.. generally! They are all good... get a good motor and for me... its the layout. that will make it or brake it for me.

If money wasn't at issue? Shearwater is the top of the line as far as I know. Wish I could have one they have the hull of a bass boat and the room of a cc the ride is sweet. I have been in almost every boat made and if you ride in one you would be in love. Check out http://www.jerrys-marine.com/html/shearwater_boats_25ltz.html

Well we have looked at a few boats and the prices are HIGH lol.
What would a good starting point be in the mid 30,000-40,000$ price range?

For a rigged out 24' CC powered right ready to fish with a quality trailer, $30 - 40,000.00 wont get it done BRAND NEW. That kind of cash will get you a well taken care of boat with LOW hours and ready to fish.
Hull- $15-20,000
Engine- $20-25,000
Trailer- $3000
Humminbird 1198 on the Helm $3,000 Humminbird 388 on bow $400 Minn Kota Terova 101# with Transducer $1600 Power Pole $1800.
Plus rigging, TTL etc.

Based on boats my family or I have owned and ones I ridden in are. Haynie(best ride and fit/finish for a skinny water boat), hydra-sport(best ride in big water but space was limited), pathfinder(very fishable, tons of storage, fast), I love my blue war but haven't been 1 over 20'

You might also want to check out the Sea Hunt BX24.. Those are pricey, but sweet boats.
That Everglades boat that was posted earlier is a work of art. Probably the nicest bay boat I have seen to this day.
