Stocked up on some soft baits, drop shot weights and ready to go. ill be out there in a few days, hoping its good.
Anyone know how the creek looks these days? MUDDY! too much rain! I've been wanting to try clear creek at 2351 in Friendswood but waiting for a few days without rain. Let me know if you find any good spots in the area since we live pretty close. Maybe we can link up one day.

Will do, I see that part of Clear Creek all the time, I live three minutes from there but have never fished there. I've seen some spotted gar in there before, so no telling what else is in there.

Well, we've been into some redbreast and bluegills on Cypress Creek. Quality fish are really shy, and we need to prowl and cast far ahead of us, but we've managed a few on white Berkely Trout worms and Gulp baits. I caught a small bass yesterday that hit the work on the first cast of the day, right as the work hit the water, must have startled it. All the other bass (some look to be 1-2 pounders) cruising this stretch of creek are wise old sages, they just give us the eye as they cruise by. I suppose they didn't get big by biting every hook tossed at them.
The creek is pretty low, looks like populations are all isolated along the creek in stretches of deep water bordered by rapids or shallows for now. Casting into the tailings of rapids nails little bluegills all stacked up waiting for food to tumble down, but they are the small fry, big smart ones are hanging out in deeper pockets. I have seen a few Rios in this stretch but they are not interested.
Going to fish the Comal today in Landa park while the family swims, say hello if you see us!
