I typically fish RC for hybrids but would like to try benbrook. Any tips would be appreciated. Live bait (where to find it) or artificials? Where to fish? Thanks for any help.

I would have to as why, unless you live close to benbrook, Reason i ask is Benbrook does not compare to Chambers at all.

As far as Bait, You probably need to bring it with you. I dont not bait fish, however i have heard that shad are hard to come buy on benbrook right now.

Artificials..........1.5/2.0 oz slabs ( Chartruese, Silver Holo )

Yeah I live in Haslet in north Fort Worth and trying to find something closer by when I don't want to make the two hour drive. Saw several pics from benbrook on this forum. So is benbrook not worth trying to get to know?

Benbrook is a great little lake with big fish. Go try it out while you can still launch this year.

yes i have witnessed mike put on a fishing clinic right in front of me 3 days in a row.. i caught a few but he caught alot... o will be out there fri evening and sat and sun am.... if you see a black and red charger bass boat feel free to swing by and say hi...

Does mike use live bait or artificials?

he uses both but has been killing them on live bait...

I appreciate the info. I will have to give it a try. Another reply said bait is hard to come by on benbrook so I will have to try eagle mountain for bait and head to benbrook. Kind of a hassle but there is nothing worse than hitting the water and not finding bait.

yea i have a few spots but its not exactly right... i have a hard time getting it... kerry is a whiz with slabs....

No sir, never claimed to be a whiz, I've been very fortunate though on artificials.

Hey Kerry, since EM is a lil off; thinking bout benbrook maybe? We don't do live bait; what type of lures works best for u? Would appreciate any help. Hybrids or sandies. And, maybe wat area? Appreciate the help; our anniversary wknd & hoping 2 bring n the fish for fish fry Saturday.

Hey Nat, let me know when and if you ever get a " kitchen pass" from the wife, so you can actually go fishing instead of playing on the forum all the time.
