Was doing some scanning, fishing and searching for some new fishing area with LakeMaster. It's the only mapping support I have in this area that is 15 Plus Miles upstream where other mapping supplier ends coverage. I seen a really neat area that shaded with my Shallow Water Highlight Feature and Depth Highlight Range Feature sticking way out into the lake...I mean in the middle of a Jungle of trees. So I went searching for this area...what else do you do when it's 101 Degrees... Here is the above water view of the area... Lots of Trees but not knowing that hidden deep inside these trees was a perfect piece of structure. I want searching and caught several keeper fish off my new found area and had to put the side imaging to work. I wanted to see just how accurate the map was as compared to the map. Your map is only as good as the level of accuracy and details. Here is a full screen SI of the same area...It's a bass haven! Thanks to LakeMaster I found me a new area on my Home Lake that I never knew existed. But the one thing that really impressed me after finding this area was how in the heck did LakeMaster scan this and get the exacting details of the real structure there. They had to put their boats into some serious hazards to provide this level of accuracy and detail. They could of easily avoided and just said it was full of trees but they didn't. I now have a greater appreciation of the work they do to get every inch of detail they can to make their maps above and beyond.

I am looking at oing with a Lakemaster chip. I like my 2008 Navionaics chip, but I think it is getting dated.

LakeMaster is only for Humminbird now. LakeMaster was acquired by Johnson Outdoors last year and joined the MinnKota and Humminbird Family.

Doug were are the fish in the pic? Is there any way you can highlight them? My guess is the tiny white spots around the lay downs?

what kind of structures are shown on the map? Road beds, pond dams, foundations? I haven't been impressed with my navionics chip.

Boat Lanes not sure on it but I think that is download of tracks??? Not sure how they share data.

I haven't used Boat Lanes...but my understanding they are routes that are saved in the units internal memory. You can pull the map card out and it will still show the Routes??? I'm sure others will be asking me and want to learn. Could you share screen captures with No Boat Lanes and Mapping, then Boat Lanes with Mapping and then last image take map card out and show Boat Lanes with NO Map. This will make it easier for others to understand Boat Lanes create Routes in the unit and are not part of the mapping.
