Got tired of the awkward and potentially dangerous climb from the trailer tongue to the bow of my Nitro.

I got ahold of Larry at L&D welding here in the Temple, TX area and we came up with this step/handle design and installation. Larry is a retired Army veteran and welding instructor at a local technical college here in Central TX. If your intrested in his services, you can reach him at 254-718-6818. I spent 1/3 the cost for any of the bolt on steps being sold commercially and got a functional platform custom fitted to my trailer.

I no longer worry about busting my butt when launching by myself. clap

Normally I tell folks it describes the guy on the front of the boat. sarcastic The the real story is I recently sold my Champion. It had 2 Butt seats and chair. Fella wanted chair & butt seat, so I kept the other.

I like that and wanted to build one myself. Yours looks just right. Is there reduced turning/backing radius now as a result?

looks like you could add some grip tape to the step to make it less slippery, looks good
