yeah, my ducer cable runs in the same channel as every other wire for my boat... also, since you guys said i was supposed to clean the calcium off the back off the ducer.. what works?!??! I have tried almost everything (xcept muriatic acid, which i know will work lol) but don't want to ruin the transducer... here's a pic

"CLR, "LIMEAWAY" or soak in a baggie of white vinegar.

Peering over the transom at 50mph to find that
elusive "smooth spot" is just plain poor
judgement.

limeaway will clean anything! You might have to put it on a sponge and soak the ducer a little while. That thing is a bit crusty. :-)

A man that expects perfect images, but keeps a less than perfect boat. :-)

If I run a HDS 10 on the console and a HDS 8 on the TM do I only need one LSS box for both units?

Only 1 is needed but you will only get side scan/down scan from wherever the LSS transducer is mounted (usually the transom so the HDS8, when in ss or ds mode will be looking off the back of the boat, not the tm.

I have a question, can someone tell me exactly where on the Elite5 DSI "cigar" transducer the crystal is located? I want to run my E5 DSI & my E5 Combo both on the TM and would like to have the transducer's one if front of the other but in doing that, the skimmer sticks out over the tip of the DSI 'cigar". Will it interfere with the DSI signal?

Anybody know why my HDS5 is leaving that white line after I take it out of structure scan? I have to power it down to get rid of it and it doesn't do it every time. Doesn't let me cancel navigation like a trail or heading to a waypoint.
