Not even close to being worth $15 bucks, two pissed off Fork 5lbers and the hooks are toast, change the hooks, the lure is toast. Definitely not worth it

I think theyre worth it. I didnt want to pay the price at first but kept getting out fished 3 to 1 so I finally bit the bullet. Now I have several. They do more than just pop. they pop and walk at the same time. Yes the hooks are light but I think thats what give it alot of its action. Like Javelin said, I have heard of guides on fork liking the H2O more than the YM. Its all preference I guess.

Dad once had one hang on a stump 6" out of the water, and a bass actually came out of the water to get it.

It's definitely worth it. I just won first in a tourney two weeks ago and got BB of the tourney...the BB came on the Yellow Magic.

Yes, it's expensive, but it's a top water and how often do you really lose a top water. I bought my Yellow Magic five years ago and still have it.

Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Check Barlows. $15.95
About the same at Tackle Warehouse. They use to have them for $13.99 and I would buy them when they did their 20% off sale. However, I think this is one that they won't discount anymore on the sales.

Nah those YMs aren't worth it... but now if you spend an extra $4-$5 and get the Lobina Rico... now you're talkin' nice popper baits!

But truthfully cborden may have given the best answer!

Lobina Rico, Don Iovino Splash it and Yellow Magic all seem to be the same minus paint jobs. Not sure if they are from the same factory or what.

I have never understood why people have particular colors of yellow magics, all the fancy painting is on the top and the bellys are all the same minus the black/gold color.
