As far as the bite, depends on the fish. The bigger the harder. Also if its blue and not yellow and over 30, it's just gonna plain hurt. over 50 and blue, and if your not experienced, prob some broke fingers. yellow not so bad.

Any experienced Noodler's explain the pain threshold? What's it comparable to ? 40+ Blue, slam your hand in a car door, seriously. Flatties, not so bad, its the shock that gets you, not the bite.

I thank God for each day!

Have you ever tried the Spring Fed Hill Country rivers in Texas like the Frio, Sabinal, and Medina? I was at the Frio last weekend and found two nice yellows but I was by myself and the rocks there were under had multiple exits. The Medina is another river that has a TON of fish in it and I know a bunch of guys that noodled that river for a long time before it was even legal that have caught fish upwards to 80 Lbs. The spawn usually starts in these rivers in early July due to the cooler spring fed water temps. Another benefit of these rivers, lots and lots of limestone structure and very clear water. Most holes are between 1-3 foot deep with a few at depths of 10 foot maximum.

Why would a person need this many fish bro?? You are a huge noodling proponent, yet pics like this will most certainly get noodling outlawed in TX again. Just my .02
