No doubt. I can't count the times a partner has gotten me out of a bind. Be carefule with that.

When and if they do get my guns...they will most definitely be hot and empty.

I went to holes I know well and stayed fairly shallow enough I could keep my head out of the water if I got in trouble.

I didn't go this weekend. Did some recon for catfish holes while prefishing for a bass tournament I have next weekend. Killed two birds with one stone :-)

Have you ever noodled lake tawakoni? I guess I just dont get it....I've been noodling everyday for over a week at every spot I know all over the lake and I can't seem to find holes shallow enough I can reach in and grab a fish....I know there are fish in there but they are always to far back....one hole I bet I felt 3 or 4 fish with a stick only about 4ft back but my arm still isn't long enough and I couldn't get them to bite my hand.....I just dont get it....maybe the fish on this lake make holes to far back or there just aren't many places to catch them....Maybe I just dont know what Im doing but it is a little frustrating....Do you noodle boat ramps much?

BFrenzy, Have you looked in the back of Duck cove by the bridge? There may be some holes under that concrete. Also check retaining walls, boat ramps, etc... anywhere where concrete meets sand, clay, gravel.

If you can't reach them with your hand, stick your leg in there and try to get the fish to run out of the hole, at which point he will wedge himself between your body and the hole. The reach down and grab him. That's worked for me in oversized holes in the past. Otherwise, you're going to have to dig the hole opening out with a shovel to where you can get back to them. That allows even larger catfish to get in there for next time.

Try the bright colored gloves like Jason said earlier. Bright yellow or blue gloves will simulate a bluegill. Catfish hate bluegills because they eat catfish eggs. You may be able to get one mad enough to where he will bite that way.

I would definately, but I have a bass tournament on Lake Waco Saturday. Went last night and took the kids, we found 4 but only managed one. Still fun though. Mostly looked really shallow, didn't check my deeper stuff. Good luck to you guys this weekend, pull a few big 'uns for me.

Be in the DFW area this weekend for business and will have a day off. Is Tawakoni the best bet to get a fish by hand? I need a boat rental too.

No Strings Attached Noodling.

Any of the lakes are good that I have fished. Don't know about the boat rental as I'm from OK. Search the net.

Negative on the turtles, Yup on the snakes, twice by copperheads, once while squirrel hunting and the other hunting turkey, never noodling. Except for the nonpoisonous ones cause I like to grabem and throw em on the bank, in the boat, and at my buddies.
