Used to catch those all the time while fishing for gar/catfish. I would think I would have a huge fish on the line, and then I'd see that it was just a huge softshell turtle. Sometimes I'd catch the same turtle 2 or 3 times more in the same day. Even if I'd move to another spot, the same turtle and his buddies would follow me. Very annoying.
