Last week there was a May Fly hatch and the gills bite was biting fast and furious. This week, I went back to the same overhanging tree limbs, the May flies were gone and so were the bluegills. (I think they were May flies; anyway they were thick and the gills were feeding on them.) How often does this happen, i.e. how often is their a hatch in the summer?

Just use the Notify and put in "Oops, I intended to post this on the Bluegill/Sunfish Forum, and it is too late to delete it now." and the mods can move it or delete it I don't think its in a bad place now as it is.

As moved from Colorado and understand May fly hatches in that state. Do Texas have may flys? Most of the hatches in Colorado are in warm but not hot weather some on the spring and maybe in the fall. I will say as when the hatch the fish just go NUTS.
