I put in at the state park early this morning and stayed around there looking for a dozen good sandies to take home and eat. Popped a couple of good ones within 30-minutes then they vanished. Finally found some 2-lbr's + about 10:15 and took out with an even dozen monster sandies. Haven't got my troll motor back yet so I'm having to use the jet diver with #13 Pet spoon.

Amazing thing is I didn't have to follow anyone to not catch fish then find them on my own. If I was out there everyday, I'd have a lot more confidence finding fish like the good ol' days. I refuse to join a boat show and I'll leave the spot I'm on when boats start fishing around me. My thought is there are fish about everywhere on this lake (if you all notice your fish finder, there's bait all over more than anywhere) so why not avoid the crowd and make yourself proud to find fish on your own. Pretty much "classless" when you have to follow guides around.

Agreed redfin...I don't follow the guides myself but sometimes we'll be fishing in the same area. I try my best to stay back and not interfere with them trying to earn a living. Great report Matt!! I know for myself being gone for 21 days at work the reports save me alot of headache...for all of us who can't be out there everyday, Thank you!!

Well now, common sense says that if you broadcast Hybrid Mayhem! across the internet your going to get a boat show and a few potlickers or like throwing crackers and bread is going to attract a huge flock of gulls and those pot lickin bird watchers will soon follow. And I aint even got nun of them binoculars yet. Cause and effect my friend. Classless?

I guess you put in at marinas that advertise a launch fee and don't think you should pay? Or maybe use their boat slips and fish all over them without renting one? Just in case you can only type, find somebody to read you the report included. There's a few tips on how to find some fish and catch them yourself. As soon as you find a way to keep me booked without advertising, let me know. Thanks for all your encouragement.
