Yes, I took the blog post down. I felt bad for the guy who caught the fish. It was never my intent to attack him personally. There is an apology posted and an explanation of why I took the post down. The fish weighed 11.25 lbs.
And...The "argument" of "it has always been this way, so it must be ok," is a terrible argument.

Perhaps you should think about what you post on your blog next time, sir.
This comment "And...The "argument" of "it has always been this way, so it must be ok," is a terrible argument." tells me you got precisely the reaction you intended. You're talking about increasing awareness, length records, etc. but you felt bad for the guy who you used as an example?
Like I said, next time think before you blog!
