Does anyone know when the H2O Express reels usually go on sale at Academy? I would love to pick a couple of em up for 50 bucks but didn't know if they had a certain time of year they generally put them on sale or not.

Normally a week or two before christmas, then sometime around mid year, summertime. It seems like they are going on sale less and less though as the popularity grows.

Never used an H20 express how are they and who makes them? Are they good reels, I love thier lures and hooks but just would like to get some feed back on the reels from some of you. just might have to go buy some.

A buddy of mine works at Acadamy and he told me that its on the front page of the weekly ad for 29.99 staring sunday

For $29.99, they are worth it! If it ever breaks, you just throw it away, kinda like a BIC lighter.

Start MAKING TRAILS instead of following them! Buy the reel, use it and give us your interpretation! Be a LEADER!! And therrrrrrrre ya go!!

I had a mettle for a few years. I used this on a guest rig with an H2O pole. This is a good rid for medium to heavy tackle. I use it to sling slaps and large top waters. Casting is very good. I may get another if they are 29.
