Whenever you have bad days, especially consecutive bad days on the water, what keeps you coming back? This usually doesn't bother me, but saturday after not getting a single bite, I was ready to sell my boat! I didn't, but have never felt that defeated before. What ways do yall keep your head in the game?

Man the fishing in the areas that got rain and cooler temps was lights out Friday evening due to the cooler water temps. It's very possible that they just got full

The anticipation of the next bite. You never know how big it will be. That is the biggest motivation I have.
I am in the midst of a horrible tournament year but quitting is not and will not be an option. I will keep on casting and hanging in there. If it was easy I would have quit long before now. Just got to catch 'em one at a time and just worry about that next bite then worry about the one after that and so on. The good times and a win here or there will come again. I fish because I have to. Its something inside me that makes sense to me. I never want to know why I do it or even understand it.

Also just go to a pond with some friends some drinks of choice a small grill and just chill. Make some burgers and just relax don't 'try' to catch fish just throw something out there and not care. Usually this brings me back to why I love fishing. You never know how the fish are going to be when you head out. Its great

I got too frustrated. My buddies say I should fish for something else for a while, catfish or something. May do that.

For me, it is always playing a game that I can never win. I may be better than everybody else in a certain tournament, or on a certian day, but I can never be the best all the time. I can however, continue learning, changing, adapting, and refining my skills. It is those hard days that keep me going. If I caught every fish that I wanted to catch everytime I went, there would be no point in playing the game. I relish the bad days. They are what drives me to get better. They can also be great learning tools. Some of the techniques that I use daily now are tricks that I learned on super tough days and make me a better fisherman now.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

It's in my blood. Heart and soul. Mind and body. I could zero for a month, and I'd still go like it never happened. Like most say, it's attitude and confidence.

I go fishing to get the He** away from people...too much "noise" in today's society and the peace of just fishing, never mind catching anything, is what I value most. If I catch something...that's just an extra benny...:) Heck I get a kick out of catching sunfish and bluegill...:)
