Myself and Robert "Dafanman" did some inner city fishing today. We started at the San Antonio River and fished from 9am till 12:30pm. The bite was fair. Managed to get into some nice Redbreast in the 8 to 9 inch range and we nailed ten of em. We also caught a few small Red Spotted and several small Longear. We broke for lunch at the area Jim's Coffee Shop. Love those Frontier Burgers! We then finished up at the Salado Creek. The fishing there was good. Saw a lot of Rios guarding nest and managed to catch only two of em. The Rios were in the 7 to 8 inch range. We also caught several Bluegills in the 6 to 7 inch range, a bunch of Longear in the 5 inch range, three Warmouth in the 6 to 7 inch range, A 12 inch bass, and two small Greens rounded out the day. All fish were healthy and in good condition. The water on both bodies of water was clear with good current. All fish were caught on worms using drop shot method and bottom techniques. All fish were released to fight again. Good times with a good friend. That is what fishing is all about. fish

We went to Brackenridge and did not see any fish. I talked with a park employee and he said there was a big fish kill about a month ago due to all of the run off hitting the river at one time. I did not know what he meant by that other than a lot of fish had died off. I checked out several spots inside the park and did not see one fish. nuts

Wow and there's no news at all about such incident ! We seriously need some good outdoor news networks to cover updates around San Antonio rivers/lakes and fishery .

The place was loaded with nice carps/gills/tilapias & let's not forget huge bass . I have seen folks pulling out 6pound bass off those lily pads.
