this thread reminds me of the move from montana to texas when i was just a few years old, asked dad where the hamsters will ride in the U-Haul then witnessed the boulder effect on them...

Man you guys are cracking me up. I gut hooked the fish really bad. Way worse than in that video. His throat looked like a bleeding strawberry. It was weird. It looked painful. And there was tons of blood. The hook was blocking the passage into his stomach and it was stuck in there very good. I tried really hard to save him. I did put him back in water and pulled him around a bunch to get water to flow over his gills. In the end the hook was so deep and it looked terrible so I put him out of his misery. I know there is no chance for survival if I choose to kill the fish, but I made the judgement call that I should put him down. I would feel bad tossing him back and have him suffer and die out. In the end I think I did the right thing but next time depending on how bad the damage is, I will release the fish back. The thing that bums me is that is now one less fish out there for everyone else to enjoy catching.

Watch out when giving a spot mouth to mouth, heard they have a rough tongue

Well I just thought I had read it all on here. Apparently I can still be surprised by what I read.

Quote from the article: "The few cents a hook costs are not worth killing a fish." They must not have priced good hooks lately! He might have been close to inventing a new dish. Smash bass a few more times and spread bass paste on platter. Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes and you have bass pizza!
