_Hey J.Steve: That's great advice too. The problem with most boats is you don't get an owners manual for the accessories unless you add them yourself.

_Most Glass Boats are not flat, so one corner or the other is off plane to the mount base! A Warped/Unlevel T/M Base would put extra resistance and friction on the lock rod ends as well.

Man i want to thank everyone for there help and tips on this matter, and bazztex got me thinking about the mount being unlevel, with the unleavel surface you would get alot of twist when in the down posission.
