Finally had a free weekend to take Mrs. Shut Up N Fish out on the late for some fishing. The bite seemed kinda skow. There was some small top water by the dam but they were all dinks. Hit all the major spots and some minors too but no action. Finally found them biting with a small group of boats. Not hot & heavy but hey I'll take what I can get. I was sitting there next to a Polar boat and wouldn't you khow it was ole Don The Angle!! I did not recognize him without his hat on. Good to see you again Don!! We brought home a bakers dozen for dinner and the freezer. Not too bad for the first time out I think. Anybody have info on the evening bite?
See ya'll out on the lake!

All alone at deadmans on sunday with the wife and kids between 12:30 - 3:00. Steady action of quality fish using RSR slabs in 26 ft. water. Left them biting!

If the wind is good, then there are EASY limits to be had in 16-24 FOW right now. Ive only gone out a time or two lately and not caught limits. Of course all fish get thrown back on my boat....
the lake is on fire right now if you can make it out on a non windy day.

Deadmans is kinda hard to explain if you are not looking at a map. Look for the boat show to the east north east of the old dam cut. 200-400 yards off the shore. There is a point with a couple of very large recently fallen tree on it that will give it away. It is the last one before the shire turns north going to Little Elm.
there is a nice hump at the end of the point. Caught lots of fish there last night. look for 17-25 FOW.. Fish are hugging the bottom if they are not surfacing early or late right now...
Good luck..

They were surfacing last night. It was nice! Guy in the boat next to me said, "if you can't catch them now, you can't catch them!" or something like that.
Caught a solid hybrid on a top water. Saw another boat holding up a slug of a hybrid.
They were surfacing at Hackberry point at 4:00. Sandies. Still a fun start to the day. Hot, jeez it was hot. I jumped overboard and sat in the water for 10 minutes to keep from a heat stroke. No wind until 6:30 or so. Then the clouds rolled in and it was beautiful.
