I find it hard to get them on artificials after mid spring. They seemed to like perch more than shad on sat.

Here is a map, This is pretty close showing the most of the timber areas, it is not exact but close enought to give an idea. I cant make the map any larger, so if someone here can feel free to help out

Thanks, I am all about artificial baits. Pretty simple on the live bait, Now, dont take me wrong...... Live bait works, but when I can put fish in the boat with out it, just makes for a better day.

See I used to think the same--then I saw some people who didn't know how--try to throw a cast net. It is still about being at the right place at the right time. There is a presentation issue with bait as well--do you anchor or drift? Sometimes one works and the other won't. Balloon rigs? If you think about it what is so hard about bouncing a piece of metal on the bottom of the lake?

Don't feel bad I'm in the same boat. I have a cheap black and white depth finder so I can't distinguish hybrids don ssndies from yellows so I might be presenting s large slab to some tiny sandies. But I'm not giving up just yet.
