Lots of trees. No data on naviontics or lake insight for benbrook. I always hated that, but after years of fishing it I have compiled my own data. I have almost every tree marked with in inches with a stop sign among other things. Be carefully out there. If the fishing at benbrook does not humble you a tree at 40+ mph will. Don't run at speed on pretty much the entire east side of the lake also up on the south end. Unless you are on a jet ski or pulling a skier--then I think it is ok??!?

...Don't run at speed on pretty much the entire east side of the lake also up on the south end. +1 When the lake is full, the eastern half may not look like a stumpfield. But trust me, it is. There are many tree tops just inches below the water. Someone should mark the northwestern most point of the tree line to give folks a heads up.

I loaned my boat to a coworker 20 years ago and he sunk it on a stump at Mustang. Plenty of trees!

Went out Sat morning. 8am to 1pm. 8 hybrids 4-5 lbs and a few small sandies. 2 big fish broke off. We started the morning on the north east side, trolling around the hump outside the school there. No luck. saw 6-8 other boats but only witnessed 1 hybrid. Around 10:30 am most of use left and went elsewhere. We went to the south end, by the Water tower. Found a small hump and most of the times as we drifted over it we got some hits on the live bait. However, everything we caught was by my father-in-law using live perch 3-5 ft off the bottom. My friend and myself bounced every colored slab we had, some swim baits, flukes, etc and never got a hybrid only some very small sandies. 4 trips in a row, we have only caught them on live bait. Yesterday, I just wanted to see if I could get them on something else, but no luck. I know they where there because my father-in-law kept pulling them up to show us. He just laughs at all my tackle and efforts. I have no idea how to catch a hybrid on BB without using live bait ... any suggestions ?-rob Only a few pics, this trip, to busy trying to catch them.
