Myself and Mike "USMC_GY" headed to the Hill Country and Fished the Lady Bird Park in Fredricksburg. The bite was good and we caught about 40 nice Redbreast and Bluegills. All the fish were in the 7 to 9 inch range and they were very healthy and fat. Fish are still in full spawn. The Creek that goes through the park is in good condition and the water was stained in some areas and clear in others. Took a break and had a great lunch at the local Denny's in Fredricksburg. We then finished on both the Blanco and Little Blanco Rivers. Fishing was on fire at the Blanco River. We nailed 15 Bluegills in the 7 to 8 inch range and all of em were fat and full of energy. Several 8 inch Redbreast rounded off the catch on the Blanco River. The River is in good condition and the water was clear with good current. Last stop was the Little Blanco River and the fishing was fair. We managed a few nice Redbreast in the 8 inch range and several small Greens and Bluegill. Rounding out the catch was a 2 pound bass that Mike caught. The water on the Little Blanco was clear with good current. All fish were caught on worms and Gulp products. The Bass was caught on a top water lure. All fish were released. A super day of fishing in the Hill Country. It don't get any better!

Thanks Robert. The Little Blanco was just fair fishing. The Big Greens were not to be found.

I believe I hold a bluegill record there... hahaha by TP&W's screw up!

Me and Mike were not even going to try to catch a Bluegill that Big at Lady Bird Park. Your record is very SAFE! It is still a State Record and looks good not matter where it was caught. Thanks Ash for the reply and Congrats on yet another contest win.

Thanks Curtis, "Dhogdog", and "Jigbutch" for the replies. Curtis: Most of the creeks we saw in Kerr County had water in em but they looked shallow. The creeks in the Fredricksburg area had water in em also but looked shallow. The Live Oak Creek outside the park looked good with some deep pockets.
